If you're not receiving a "Thanks for subscribing" or other text messages from Branch on your Android device, this could indicate that your device is flagging our number as potentially spam/phishing related or has a setting that is accidentally blocking our number. Follow both of the troubleshooting methods below to verify and remedy the issue:
Unblocking a phone number:
- Open the Phone app on an Android device.
- Tap the "More/Menu" icon
- Select Settings.
- Tap Blocked numbers.
- Verify that the following phone numbers are not on this list: 1 (612) 662-4975 or +1 (612) 662-4975.
- Locate the contact/number you wish to unblock, tap , then tap Unblock when prompted.
- Test the previous action you were attempting in our app to verify if the text message can now be received as expected.
Unblocking a conversation:
- Open the Messages app on an Android device.
- Tap the "More/Menu" icon
- Tap Spam & blocked.
- Verify that the following phone numbers are not on this list: 1 (612) 662-4975 or +1 (612) 662-4975.
- Select the contact/number you wish to unblock, then tap Unblock when prompted.
- Test the previous action you were attempting in our app to verify if the text message can now be received as expected.
Important to Note:
- Older versions of Android may have different steps to navigate to remove a blocked number/contact. Please consult your device's manufacturer if you need assistance updating it to the latest supported version.
