Q: How does Branch determine my advance limit?
A: There are a few different things that can impact your advance limit. First and foremost, we use your past direct deposit amounts to calculate your advance limits. At first, you will only qualify for 5% of your average direct deposits, but that will continue to increase as you have successful paybacks in the system. Second, we track your hours worked, using your GPS, to ensure that you can reach your full advance limit in a given pay period. If you have gone to work a few times in a given pay period, you should be good to go.
Sometimes, advance limits decrease. This can happen if you receive a direct deposit that is smaller than usual, or if you work less hours in a given pay period. It might also happen if something is interfering with our ability to track hours using your GPS.
