There are a few different errors you may encounter when adding your bank, and this article outlines the most common issues our users typically see. If none of the below apply, please submit a ticket here and include the name of your bank as well as a screenshot of the error message you are seeing. We'll be happy to review further!
Error message: "Unable to view bank transactions. Unfortunately, we cannot view enough transactions from your bank to qualify you."
This error typically means you have less than $1 in your account, or we are not detecting any direct deposits in your account. If you have less than $1 in your account, then you should be able to connect your bank as soon as you have more than that! If you are certain you have at least $1, please submit a ticket here including a screenshot of how your direct deposits appear on your checking statement, and we'll do our best to get that fixed!
Error message: "Your account isn't setup for online use"
This is an error returned by your bank, and it typically means you need to verify your personal info (phone number, email, etc.) through your bank's website in order to complete the setup. Some banks may need to manually authorize your account to be used with 3rd party apps such as Branch so if you're not seeing anything on your bank's website to configure an online account, we suggest contacting your bank directly.
Error message: "Your username and password are invalid"
Double check you've chosen the correct branch for your bank (website should show on the login screen), and ensure you're able to login to your bank's website using the same credentials. If you're still having trouble, there may be an issue with your Branch account. Submit a ticket here, and include the name of your bank as well as a screenshot of the error you are seeing. We'll take a look!
