As we look forward to the future of Branch, we will be focusing on providing services through employers and workplaces while continuing to offer our wallet/banking services in order to produce the best experience for as many workers as possible.
By working directly with employers and workplaces, we can deliver more consistent advance access along with benefits such as digital tips right after each shift and instant reimbursements. These innovations encourage financial flexibility for workers and are possible only through direct partnerships. We have seen greater consistency of instant pay advances and repayments, and stronger financial health for workers.
In order to move toward a similar consistency for workers taking an advance not through a business or workplace, we have updated the requirements. We will continue to provide instant pay advances to as many workers as we can, but have adjusted our qualifications to weight consistency in repayments more heavily. All users will still receive access to Branch’s other features, including fee-free checking, two-day early pay, free ATMs, auto-budget, and priority support (coming soon).
