As of June 18th, 2022 Branch no longer offers Instant Pay (also known as "advances") to anyone whose workplace does not have an official relationship with Branch. Any current outstanding advances will still be required to be repaid as scheduled.
-
How do I know if I will still qualify for advances?
-
If you signed up with Branch independently from your employer, advances will no longer be available. However, if your organization communicated its direct relationship with Branch upon sign-up, you may still be eligible.

Why did this change happen?
-
Branch’s mission is to create technology that helps workers grow financially, and we are best able to do this when we work directly through employers and workplaces to offer our Instant Pay services. We hope that Instant Pay advances have been beneficial to you over the past years and that you continue to enjoy the other financial services we offer through the Branch Digital Wallet.

What happens to my account now?
- If you have outstanding advances, payback to Branch will follow the standard process. After that, no further advances will be available.
- Aside from Instant Pay no longer being offered for you, nothing else has changed. Your Branch account remains active, and your Branch Wallet functionality remains the same.
- We understand that this is a significant change and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Please be aware that we don't have plans to revert these changes or enable Instant Pay for these accounts again.
