Federal banking holidays can affect the timing of ACH transfers, including direct deposits and transactions from your Branch wallet. Here’s what to expect and how these holidays might impact your account.
2024 Federal Banking Holidays
ACH Delays
ACH credit and direct deposit transactions are processed by the Federal Reserve, which does not operate on federal holidays. This means:
- Transactions scheduled on a federal holiday will process on the next business day.
-
Example: If a deposit is scheduled for Christmas Day (Wednesday, December 25, 2024), it will be processed on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
- ACH delays can also affect inbound and outbound transfers initiated from or to your Branch wallet.
Important to Note:
- Other banking functions, such as debit card transactions and wallet transfers within Branch, remain active and unaffected by federal holidays.
