If your account number has recently changed, it's essential to take a few proactive steps to ensure a smooth transition.
Updating External Financial Connections
- If your account number has been updated, it's crucial to inform any external financial institutions, auto payments, billers, or depositors.
- This includes entities like your utility company, vehicle payment provider, government assistance programs, or employers who directly deposit funds into your account. Contact them promptly with your new account number to avoid any service disruptions.
Direct Deposit from Employers Partnered with Branch
- If you're enrolled in direct deposit through an employer partnered with Branch, rest assured that we’ll take care of updating them about any changes to your account number. However, it may be beneficial to double-check with your HR or Payroll administrator to ensure your direct deposit information is set up correctly to avoid any potential impacts.

Branch is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC and Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, which are Branch’s bank partners. The name of the bank partner for your account is listed on the back of your debit card and can also be found in the Branch App under “Your Account Information”. FDIC insurance only applies to eligible accounts should the bank holding your funds fail. Branch Mastercard Debit Cards are issued by Evolve Bank & Trust or Lead Bank, Member FDIC, as applicable, pursuant to a license from Mastercard and may be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
