Stay in control of your finances and effortlessly update your external debit card or bank information for hassle-free transfers with these steps.
How to add or update a debit card:
- Open our app and navigate to the Account tab.
- Tap Connected Accounts.
- To add or update a debit card, choose Add Debit Card or tap the pencil icon next to an existing card.
- Enter the debit card information.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to verify and complete the request.
- When you reach the "Security Check" screen in our app you will be sent a single-use text that contains a secure link used to verify the request.
- If necessary, request the single-use link via email in the "Security Check" screen by choosing Get Help and then Send new link as email.
- Check your email for a message from Branch, and open the link on the device with our app to finalize the debit card update/add.

How to connect a new external bank account:
- Navigate to the Account tab.
- Tap Connected Accounts.
- To connect a bank account when you do not already have one currently connected, tap Add Bank Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts provided by Plaid to connect your external bank.
- When you see a "Security Check" screen in our app, follow any additional on-screen prompts to verify and complete the request.
- If necessary, request the single-use link via email in the "Security Check" screen by choosing Get Help and then Send new link as email.
- Check your email for a message from Branch, and open the link on the device with our app to finalize the debit card update/add.
How to update or remove a connected external bank account:
If you need to update or fix a connection issue with an external bank account that was previously connected via Plaid, you will first need to delete the account by clicking the red trash can icon next to the bank you wish to update/remove. Once the external bank connection has been deleted, follow the steps above to connect your external bank account to our app.
