Let Branch be your trusted partner throughout the entire dispute resolution process. Here’s how we help:
-
Filing the Dispute:
You can easily file a dispute through the Branch app by selecting the transaction in question.
-
Investigation & Compliance:
Branch thoroughly investigates your claim in strict adherence to federal and state regulations. Whenever applicable, we will work diligently to recover funds from merchants on your behalf.
-
Provisional Credit:
If eligible, Branch may issue a provisional credit to your account while the dispute is under investigation, ensuring you have access to your funds during the process.
-
Updates:
Throughout the investigation, Branch will keep you informed in real-time via email updates as each milestone occurs. You’ll be notified when a provisional credit is issued, and when a final decision is made.
-
Final Outcome:
Once the investigation is complete, Branch will notify you of the outcome. If the dispute is approved, the provisional credit becomes permanent. If denied, the provisional credit is reversed, and the charge remains.

Branch is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC and Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, which are Branch’s bank partners. The name of the bank partner for your account is listed on the back of your debit card and can also be found in the Branch App under “Your Account Information”. FDIC insurance only applies to eligible accounts should the bank holding your funds fail. Branch Mastercard Debit Cards are issued by Evolve Bank & Trust or Lead Bank, Member FDIC, as applicable, pursuant to a license from Mastercard and may be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
